Achromatic Lenses

 (48)
Achromatic doublets are far superior to simple lenses because they are corrected for two color lines, specifically C(656.27nm) and F(486.13nm). Focal length is specified for the D line (589.3nm) in an air medium with parallel incident light. Air spaced achromats may be used where even greater correction is required. Because of their superior optical quality, ROLYN Achromats may be used in microscopes, telescopes, magnifiers, eyepieces and many other scientific instruments.

Faces on 20.0XXX series achromats are uncoated.
For coating, please refer to 20.1XXX series achromats.

These lenses have both faces anti-reflection coated for visible spectrum (400-700nm) with single layer magnesium fluoride, (MgF2).

Computer Optimized Achromats

 (102)
Rolyn supplies below a list of lenses which are the most up-to- date computer designs in the industry. We feel that they do, in fact , approach the limits of what can be accomplished with cemented doublets. The faster designs up to f 2.7 are limited by residual 5th order zonal spherical aberration. In the slower f numbers secondary chromatic aberration becomes increasingly important. Faces are anti-reflection coated MgF2.

Heat Resistant Condenser Lenses

 (6)
Condenser systems are used to maximize the intensity and uniformity of light delivered from some source such as a projector lamp to some receiver such as the entrance pupil of a projection lens.

Triplets

 (9)
Sometimes called the triple aplanat, these are among the very finest of cemented achromats, having a maximum of field flatness as well as a minimum of aberrations. Suitable for use alone or with a low power ocular. Typical applications are: magnifiers, low cost projection lenses.
